Designer Frames better?

Question

I need some prescription eyeglasses. Are the more expensive designer frames (such as Ralph Lauren or Versace) more trustworthy? Are they better quality and more durable? Or are they just more costly cause of their looks?

Sometimes they are better , sometimes not.

There are many non-designer brands that are just as good as designer brands.

Even in the same designer brand, some models can be better quality than others...

So, it is something that is very difficult for the layman to judge...you just have to rely on the honesty and knowledge of the optician or whoever is helping you.

But, in general , the more expensive frames will be a better quality.
