Question:

Designing new pink and brown room?

I'm 14 I'm redoing my room soon and I am leaning towards the colors of pink and brown. I really like those colors together. For painting i don't know if i should do pink and brown stripes or brown with all pink stuff or pink with brown stuff but i had pink last time so i don't wanna paint it pink so much but if you could give me feedback or if you find a cute comforter or which painting i should do then let me know! I don't want it to be little kiddish and polka dots on the walls and that kind of thing because it looks kind of tacky and i want it to look more sophisitcated and fancy. So if you could help me out, that would be great. thanks

  3. There are some great options out there for this color combination, including this darling bed set from Target: http://tinyurl.com/55dqne

I would paint the walls a brown - a fairly deep color, but not too dark.  You can then accessorize with art or colorful bedding or pillows....and you can change the whole feeling of the room easily by changing one or two things.

  4. Pink and brown...how juicy couture!

Okay, well what i would do is light pink walls with a chocolate brown stripe through it (horizontal). Multiple if you want, maybe three? Perhaps one thick with a thinner one on each side. Then if you have molding, make that also chocolate brown. If not, then do a brown stripe at the very top of the wall next to the ceiling and very bottom next to the floor. Check out the sources, i put a visual aid.

Then i would gat a matching chocolate brown bed spread, with a matching light pink bed skirt, sheets and throw pillows.(by matching, i mean a color to match the walls, you can probably find them at maybe target or bed bath and beyond)

If you are into juicy couture, maybe even get pillows like it! (check out sources). Or make your own by sewing a little brown bow on the pink pillows. Or not, it really depends what you are going for.

Also, i would stick to dark brown furniture, or maybe white might look good. Again, it really depends.

If you don;t like that color scheme then just revesre it and do everything i said pink chocoloate brown and everything i said chocolate brown pink. I hope this helps!

  5. Mix in some white as well.  Your walls could be white with pink and brown stripes (make the stripes different widths.)  You could also just do an accent wall with the stripes.  Just make sure the brown isn't too dark and try to keep the pink and the brown in the same color value range.  Head for Home Depot or a paint store and ask someone to help you...it's well worth it!

    Good luck redecorating your room!

  6. You may want to find a quote that you can design on www.thesimplestencil.com or take a look at their premade designs. My grand-daughter decorated her room pink and black (parisian look) and added a beautiful transfer that just made the room look so grown up. She loves it...you may too.

    Good Luck.
