Desktop background and screensaver?

Question

i got this virus :cbevtsvc.exe and ccevtsvc.exe so my desktop background changed to the picture advertisement of "Antivirus XP 2008". i succesfully remove the virus. but the tab "background" and "screensaver" is gone when i right click my mouse and select properties.i can changed my background picture by opening a picture then "right click" then " set as desktop background". but what about the screensaver? how can i restore those option, the background and screensaver?thnx

Download the following file and double click to run it. Set a system restore point first!!

The file is for Windows XP only!!

Reboot!

if that doesn't work, then try this; read how to modify the registry.

The virus have damaged it and you can fix it by the method suggested in this blog.

Select control Panel

Add remove Programmes

Windows Componants

Accessories and utilities get details

Accesoories get details

Select desktop and wall paper

OK

and you should be through
