I'm not sure if everyone else except for me knows this or they haven't aired the answer to this question???

But, how did the real Dylan Mayfair die??

because in the show, the little girl was found cold under the bed and Katherine immediately went to find a replacement, so what happened to that little girl that under the bed??? (how did she die)

The armoir fell on her when she reached to get the doll on top of it. You probably didn't realize that was an armoir not a bed. Her mom buried the girl then went to get a replacement because her ex husband had major connections in the police department and would make it look like she killed her just like they ignored her reports of his abuse.

She tried to climb up the armoire to get the doll.  It fell on top of her and killed her.
