Desperate for work as an electritian?

hello again we live in essex and he travels too london he is qualified city and guilds 2330 but has not part p and he has genearl cscs card and has had lots of remidials but wants somthing a little more fixed with propsects work is just very slow at mo on london sites where he has been working

  1. There is building work going on all the time all around the country. Surely one of the sites must need a sparky. There's a shortage of trades people. All he needs to do is advertise.

    Try agencies - morson's one. I think the sun advertise jobs like that. If you'd prefer not to buy such filth you could look on their website.


  2. He's probably tried this, but many small-to-medium sized electrical contracting companies are only too happy to sub out to freelance sparks, often with repetitive work if the rates are good. And believe it or not, sending a portfolio to developers and consultants is quite effective, even as a one-man band. It's not what you know, it's who, in this trade. Encourage him to "network" with developers, consultants, council housing authorities and the like.
