Question:

Despicable politics?

In the continued debate over the war in Iraq Obama states his opposition on two points: The need to turn the war over to the Iraq people(a fair point to debate) as soon as possible, and the 10 billion per month cost of this war which he says can be better put to use on the American economy. Do others find it, as I do, despicable that he considers the money issue more important than the blood of our soldiers? America should concern itself with counting pennies while our soldiers are dying?

  1. a penny here, a penny there, and pretty soon we are talking real money.

  2. Obama...despicable politics, despicable beliefs, despicable experience,

despicable wife.....the man's picture is on Wikipedia under the definition of DESPICABLE.

  3. I consider just about anything Obama says despicable.  He will dismantle our military if he is elected.  He thinks that with his wonderful speaking skills he will be able to talk any country out of attacking us.  Course, he will always have his speech writer with him to guarantee that he says the right thing.

  4. iI'm not American - I'm English .... however I think the debate about whether any country should go to war is valid whereever you are .... I personally think that Obama is right ... he's not being petty about the costs .... he's saying 'This is not our war - we went in to help - as soon as our help is not needed then we should pull out and let them get on with it themselves ....'.... If you can imagine two neighbours rowing and fighting between themselves and you are affected by this you will step in to try to help the situation .... but would you really throw money - and continue to throw money- at a situation that really doesn't involve you?  The answer is No?  Your boys, and our boys, are paying a high price - their conditions and lives - for some jumped up politicion who is only involved through pride and principles - not needs  - and for both countries I say if we can't afford to be there then we need to pull out .... we should not be spilling our blood for a cause that isn't ours and no real benefit to us in the long run .....

  5. First of all, this question has no point of debate in reality: Money is paid and US soldiers die every day the US occupation of Iraq continues. These two things go together, and it is impossible to separate them.

Otherwise one could say that the soldiers somehow chose to become soldiers, or that people commit suicide due to lack of money, though it is not common in the US. Anyway, Obama could find excuses had the two things I mentioned earlier weren't connected, but they are.

  6. I think stopping the US involvement in the Iraq sooner rather than later should save more lives, troops and civilians.

The definition of Despicable Politics is lying to the American people to get into this war in the first place, 4000+ US and it's allied troops would still be alive. I could go on and on like families of the troops having to purchase and send adequate body armor for the sons and daughters to wear.

  7. Our soldiers?

Forgive me. Are not other nationalities dying there too? Do you even know where Britain is ?

May God forgive you your blatant predjudice
