The Pune http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 skipper, Sourav Ganguly, takes a lot of positives from the 13-run defeat to Chennai Super Kings in the 24th match of the Indian Premier League, played at latter’s backyard, MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 19, 2012.
Speaking to the media reporters after the match, the former Indian skipper said that his batsmen did not panic despite losing some early wickets which is a very good thing for them going forward.
“Though we lost early wickets, our batsmen did not panic… We were going steady all the while,” said the Pune skipper at the post match press conference on Thursday night.

Ganguly, who captained home franchise Kolkata Knight Riders in the first three seasons of the league, said that they had been in the game through out, adding that it was a matter of just an over of 15-20 runs and they could have returned
victors.
“We needed one big over to get near their score... Unfortunately, that did not happen. We were in the game and we always had a chance to win the game,” said the visiting skipper.
“…we needed one over which would yield 15-20 runs… If we would have scored those many runs in an over, we could have finished as the winners. We will have a look at what went wrong,” he added further.
