Despite poor draw, Bridge Ruth looking solid in Williamhill.com Oaks - 2nd Quarter-Final at Wimbledon
Bridge Ruth, who was pretty impressive in the round one, is not having a favourable draw in the Williamhill.com Oaks - 2nd Quarter-Final at Wimbledon on Saturday, December 08, 2012. Yet, the blue b***h makes plenty of appeal, as she is in very good shape
at the moment.
After performing brilliantly at Hove, the M. Wallis-trained reached here in mid November, when she travelled nicely in the trials. On November 22nd, she could not maintain the standards, and finished fifth on the chart.
Quickly getting her act together, the daughter of Hondo Black did a great job last time around. After leaving the second trap, the maverick b***h ran well, and established her dominance very soon after the start. She railed outstandingly afterwards, seizing
the first place easily by five lengths.
Things are more difficult this time, but still it is hard to rule out her chances. She has done well in tough conditions here in the past, and looks good to make an impact. Other hounds in the pack are:
Droopys Loner, Queen Of Rangers, Forest Mollie, Ayamzabeauty, and Forest Trick. The 480 metres contest is scheduled to begin at 20:30 GMT. The successful hound will get not only a place in the semi-final, but also a handy prize of 150 pounds.
Although the entire line-up is dangerous, Bridge Ruth particularly needs to stay cautious of Droopys Loner. The blue and brindle b***h was an unlucky loser last time around.
D. Childs’ charge ran very well all the way through, but missed the victory by a neck’s distance. She is better drawn than Bridge Ruth, and one should not take her lightly.
Forest Mollie shaped well in the first round, and seems to be the third best hound in the line-up. If the black b***h delivers her best, she will easily be able to make it to the semis. Forest Trick is likely to be on the back foot as soon as the boxes open.
Queen Of Rangers has a poor draw to tackle, and might struggle to get loose. Similarly, Ayamzabeauty needs to show considerable improvement to reach the semis.
