Despite poor draw, Sharies Miller favourite for Buxted 'Andicappers Trophy at Hove
Draw usually does not become an issue for the hounds with pure skills. By avoiding all sorts of mess, they comfortably tackle this issue. A similar thing is likely to be done by Sharies Miller at Hove on Thursday night.
The brindle b***h is expected to maintain the highest standards of racing after leaving the fourth box in the Buxted 'Andicappers Trophy, which is scheduled to get started at 21:06 GMT.
The 515 metres open race carries a handsome winning prize of £175. Besides Sharies Miller, there are five high-quality hounds in the pack. Their names are: Peggys Cove, Seven Of Spades, Aero Joker, Sherrys Rebound and Droopys Minnie.
Sharies Miller has plenty of solid performances under her belt. Ahead of finishing second last twice, the brindle b***h secured three straight wins. On her last winning journey at Monmore, the daughter of Ballymac Ruso, out of Little Diva, captured the first place by eight lengths.
No one can take the credit away from her just because of last two unlucky defeats. The M. Dartnall-trained is all set to resume her winning journey on return to Hove. There are so many things going for her that it is not hard to declare her the banker for today’s race.
Droopys Minnie is unlikely to do something special. She has only three wins from 36 ups, and this record will hardly attract any punter. Seven Of Spades will have to concede lengths to rivals in the early stages. A failure to get lead in the beginning means she has no chance whatsoever.
Aero Joker is a talented b***h, but things have not been going in the right direction over the past few weeks. There are doubts about Sherrys Rebound’s suitability for this sort of race. She has done pretty well over 480 metres, but showing an equally great effort over this distance is very hard.
Peggys Cove, on the other hand, has gone strength to strength in the recent starts. The black b***h faced a shameful loss on October 20th, but just after a week, she came up with a stunning effort. She was an easy 1¼-length winner last time. This company is slightly tougher though.
