10 ANSWERS

  1. BJ "The Prodigy" Penn

  2. to be honest 3-way tie they are equal as good

    Fedor- powerful,mentally tough, heat

Silva-BJJ blackbelt, prolly the best striker in MMA,

BJ- intellegent, in his prime, good stiking, Juijitsui,

they are all well rounded so i have no clue

  3. I would have to say say Fedor. He probally has the best self defense skills thanks to sambo training. The guy stays calm no matter what. Watch the video where Kevin Randleman drops him on his neck and then Fedor submits him with an arm-bar minutes later.

Fedor also has amazing punching power that many people like to forget about.

For how big he is it is just amazing how good his ground game is.

The only flaw that I see right now is that he hasn't fought top competition but that will change when he fights Tim Sylvia.

BJ and anderson are amazing also but I just think Fedor is in a league of his own. For awhile he was fighting the best heavyweights in the world. (Remember when Pride was known to have the best Heavyweights) The guy has never lost except due to a cut. That is just amazing. He is still very young and is in his prime now.

He beat big nog twice now and everyone says big nogs ground game is best out there right now in the heavyweight division.

  4. BJ Penn.

    Not only does he have physical strength;

he also has mental strength, will power, concentration...etc

  5. Fedor just by the fact that he only lost once in a fight that should have been a NC.  His movements are so precise. The thing about Fedor is he can win the fight from any position. When he gets hurt he reacts by coming at his opponent even harder. All these guys are great but Fedor has just dominated everyone including Nog twice.

  6. BJ Penn; he is an intelligent fighter good ground game and standup

  7. Penn destroyed GSP on the feet, remember it was GSP's wrestling that won him that fight, BJ went to the bar, GSP DIRECTLY TO THE HOSPITAL.

Anderson is a great choice but IMO Fedor wins having never been subbed.

To answer the question Fedor has proved to be the best rounded fighter.  He has KO victories, he has fought to some of the bloodiest decisions, he has sub victories and most importanly has never lost a round, I don't think there is another MMA fighter who has held a title that you can say has never lost a round. Fedor is it until someone proves otherwise, if he were to retire today without fighting again and so did any of the others mentioned, Fedor would be the more accomplished well rounded fighter.  BJ, Anderson, GSP all great choices but I go with Fedor

  8. First off I think GSP needs to be in this conversation as well. As far as the most complete fighter I think the three guys you mentioned are very close though none of them are particularly good wrestlers. BJ Penn's BJJ is so good that he negates alot of guys wrestling skill i.e. his fight with Matt Hughes, Hughes was able to get Penn down but Penn immediatly reversed postion and dominated Hughes on the ground. GSP on the other hand is the best wrestler in MMA while the rest of his game is very good.

Its hard for me to pick one of these guys since they all have thier specialties.

    Best striker - Silva

    Best BJJ/ground game - Penn

    Best wrestler - GSP

If Fedor had fought any good HW in the last few years I would say him but till he proves himself again against a good HW I'll go with Penn as the most complete fighter.

That being said if BJ fights GSP again I would still pick GSP, just because I think GSP could keep the fight standing if he wanted to and score two many points with kicks while Penn was out of punching range.

  9. bj penn

  10. BJ Penn has a god given talent that I've never seen matched.

His stand up is very crisp he never seems to throw wildly inaccurate punches.

His ground game is by far and away the very best in MMA.

So while none of the guys you mentioned are slouches in any way and the margin of difference in their greatness is minimal just the way he seems to use all his talents so seamlessly I will say BJ.
