Despite tricky draw, Partner having sound claims in Wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Handicap
Despite a below par effort last time, Pea Shooter is respected. Drawnfromthepast and Baby Strange, both have reached Wolverhampton in good shape, and carry solid chances. Yet, the vote goes to Partner, who is lurking on a handy mark at the moment.
Despite a tricky draw, Noel Wilson’s charge looks to be the best choice in Wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Handicap, being hosted by Wolverhampton on Monday, November 5th. The 6-year-old was quite impressive on his penultimate start, when seizing
the runner-up spot behind My Son Max last month.
The son of Indian Ridge has scored six times so far. After facing a few unlucky defeats at different venues, the G. J. Paver-owned reached Wolverhampton on a high. In the hands of Daniel Tudhope, he quickly adjusted his game to the conditions, and remained
prominent throughout the 32Red Casino Handicap (Div II) on October 8th.
It was no more than an unlucky loss for the bay gelding, as he missed the crown only by 1¾ lengths. Despite the fact that the Miss Joan Murphy-bred could not shine at Catterick last time, the punters should give him respect on his previous good Wolverhampton
run.
A dozen rivals are waiting for him. Over a distance of five furlongs and 20 yards, the participants will compete for a handsome prize of £5,175. As per the plan, the class 4 meeting will be kicked off at 16:55 GMT.
Pea Shooter failed to live up to the expectations. Despite having plenty in favour, the 3-year-old could not do well, and eventually finished seventh behind Doctor Parkes at the end of September. We don’t expect him to thrive straight after a terrible defeat.
According to our calculations, Drawnfromthepast and Baby Strange are going to create the maximum problem for Partner. The former of the two was an easy winner on his previous visit here. After two unlucky defeats, the 7-year-old unchained the shackles, and
finished on top of the chart by one and a quarter lengths.
Baby Strange is also in good shape, following an excellent win. But his poor record at Wolverhampton is a huge concern. On his previous outing here, the 8-year-old was seventh on the table. So, expect a battle only between Partner and Drawnfromthepast.
