  1. i love doughbuts..easy to buy and stuff or pastries alike eclairs..but i love these lemon bars..they r soo easy, adn really very yummy!!

    2 cups sifted all-purpose flour

    1 cup confectioners' sugar

    1 cup butter, melted

    4 eggs

    2 cups white sugar

    1 teaspoon baking powder

    1/4 cup all-purpose flour

    5/8 cup lemon juice

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.

In a medium bowl, stir together 2 cups flour and confectioners' sugar. Blend in the melted butter. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until golden. In a large bowl, beat eggs until light. Combine the sugar, baking powder and 1/4 cup of flour so there will be no flour lumps. Stir the sugar mixture into the eggs. Finally, stir in the lemon juice. Pour over the prepared crust and return to the oven.

Bake for an additional 30 minutes or until bars are set. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

  2. snow on the mountain made with crumbled sponge cake strawberry's and cool whip it is delouse

  3. Preferably bakery? so they want you to pick something up at the store instead of homemade?

    Well, that's no fun! lol

A sheet of date bars or various bars or cream puffs or  maybe a couple of kinds of pie? Ice cream might work if there is  freezer but if it's outdoors, and no freezer in sight, not a great idea.

A couple of different choices for people would always work.

Or one baked thing from the bakery, and you can pick up a mix of fruit from the produce section and make your own fruit salad (always a hit at a bbq)

  4. You will want something light and easy to pick up.  Try something like fruit skewers or ice cream cones.

  5. You could bring cupcakes. That would be nice and people will absolutley love it. Cupcakes are in this year instead of using cakes for parties. Hope you have fun at the BBQ party!

  6. Pies and cakes are good but for a pot luck I would say go with something portioned and without a recovery of cookware and serveware. Cookies are a good option as are cupcakes and muffins. if you are serving a more sit down buffet style a good cobbler can be a big hit.

  7. Absolutely DECADENT bars!

    HELLO DOLLY

    1/2 c. butter

    1-1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs

1 can Eagle Brand sweetened, condensed milk

1 (6 oz) pkg. chocolate chips

    1/2 c. flaked coconut

    1 c. nuts, chopped

Melt butter in 9x13" pan;  remove from heat.  Sprinkle crumbs evenly over butter.  Spread milk evenly over crumbs.  Sprinkle chips, coconut & nuts on crumbs;  press gently down.  Bake at 350 for 25 min, or until golden brown.  Cool and cut into bars......

  8. I make this almost every time I go to a bbq potluck, and EVERYBODY loves it, and it's really easy (and cake-like):

1 large box of vanilla pudding

1 tub of cool whip, not the smallest one, the nedt size up

    graham crackers

    fresh strawberries

strawberry glaze (I use Maries brand, in the produce department)

make the pudding according to directions, fold in the thawed cool whip, and then layer in a 13x9 pan, start with graham crackers on the bottom, then cream, crackers, cream, I think you end up with about 3 layers each, then top with the strawberries (mix the berries with the glaze first though)

make sure you prepare it the night before so the graham crackers soften, it is so good, you might want to double the recipe for a big crowd, it disappears quickly :D

  9. make some choc slice or cheese slice. they are easy to pop into the mouth and no messy crumbs if you slice them small enough.
