Dessert party ideas?

im having a dessert party for this summer and i was wondering how i should decorate, some cool food ideas, and any other interesting info.

thanks,,, oh and the parties out doors and is from 6 to 12.

I went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of shot glasses and filled each of them with different desserts (Cheesecake, tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and more)

First, 6 pm is too early to start a dessert party.  People haven't had a chance to eat dinner yet!  It should start about 8 - 4 hrs is plenty of time for a party .......You could have a "candy bar," ... chocolate fountain with fruit, ladyfingers, marshmellows to dip ....  platters of cookies, brownies, petit fours, cream puffs  ...  several different flavors and shapes of cakes ..... dishes of Jordan almonds and mints .... maybe even a Do-It-Yourself sundae bar

I would decorate with an assortment of glass vases with candy inside. You can also get a chocolate fountain to put in the middle of the table. Arrange different types of fruit and cakes around on plates of different heights. Make edible topiary trees out of fruit and candy.
