Destination weddings.......

Question

My fiance and I are getting married and I want to have a destination wedding. Has anyone ever had one before? How do the finances work? Are my parents supposed to pay for everyone to fly to Cabo for instance. I know my dad would definitely take care of the cost of the wedding in Cabo but is he supposed to pay for everyone's plane tickets and lodging costs? THanks to anyone who can help.

Completely up to you and your budget.  Realistically no--guests always pay for their transportation to a wedding and the lodging while they are there.  You will have a lot fewer due to the location and flight expense.  BUT logically be prepared.  You may have to pay for some people that you really can't imagine getting married without.  Your grandparents are probably on a fixed income and won't be able to afford this kind of trip.  You may want to pay the flight or some of the expenses for them.
