Destiny Cruise - Carnival in January?

Hi guys:

My husband and I are 30 and are going on Carnival Destiny in January from San Juan. We have never been on a cruise before and have no idea what to expect. Has anyone been on this cruise in the last 6 months and how was it? What can we expect from this cruise? What were the highs/lows for you?
