Destinys Delight grabs maiden victory – Greyhound Racing Update
Destinys Delight marvellously accomplished the maiden victory of her career by beating Toosey Paddy with a big margin of 2 ¾ lengths at Sittingbourne racing track on Sunday, February 12.
Breaking from Trap 6, the black b***h reached the finish line in 29.60 seconds. She not only defeated Toosey Paddy but also crushed the hot favourite runner of the Grade A4 race, Parsons Cross.
Since making her debut on July 15, 2011, the D Puddy-trained b***h had been struggling for a victory which finally came last night. She lost 10 races in a row before bagging her first success.
In the first three races of her career, the daughter of Droopys Vieri out of Westmead Naomi run with favourite tag but failed to justify it. She was also a 2-1 favourite for her second last race on February 4.
The novice b***h’s performance on the weekend was quite amazing and outstanding. It impressed both the spectators and bookmakers. Most of the bettors were stunned to see a non-favourite runner winning empathetically against her potential competitors.
This triumph was also unbelievable for Puddy who seemed to be somewhat dejected before Sunday. The star trainer showered immense praise on his trainee and wished her a happy and promising future.
Among Destinys Delight’s competitors, Toosey Paddy finished second. Breaking from Trap 2, the black dog crossed the boundary strap in 29.83 seconds. Whelped in April 2008, the son of Hondo Black out of Blonde Diamond is trained by T C A Wade.
Parsons Cross, despite being the top favourite, got third position after getting trailed badly by 5 lengths.  The black b***h broke from Trap 1 and bridged the distance in 30.22 seconds. The daughter of Droopys Maldini out of Express Smasher gets training

Ringaskiddy Lucy finished fourth in the contest while Moondyne Joe and Rescue Now notched up fifth and sixth spots respectively.

By and large, it was a fabulous event filled with thrill and throb. Destinys Delight carried the day elegantly.
