  1. Here are few tips:

    I.  Visit an Ophthalmologist immediately. Wear Specs or at least  contacts. Unaided blurred vision produces lot of Nervous strain which further detoriates  vision.

II. Fish, which has omega 3 fatty acids, is suggested food for good eyesight.

III. Good Sleep is very important for preserving and improving vision. But good sleep means not just Quantity but also Quality. In short sleep like a baby!

IV. Any kind of Mental strain always detoriates vision. For more relaxed mental state you may look towards Meditation. Further, Meditation improves your quality of sleep.

    V. Avoid PC as far as possible. In case you wish/ have to use it for a long time consider wearing' computer specs ' while working on it.

VI. Look after your reading distance while reading books or screen. Posture too plays a very imporyant role.

VII. Try ' Bates methods for natural vision improvement '. It helped in my case. " Better eyesight without glasses " is an authoritative   text on this subject.

  2. By reducing your time on the computer you're already doing a great thing for your eyes. By this point there is not really anything you can do, should've ate those carrots :) You definetly want to get your eyes checked out now, if you start straining it will only make your eyes weaker faster and cause bad headaches. For many people having bad eyesight is a genetic thing, so take a look at the others in your family and the gene doesn't show up until later in life or goes away. You may not even have to wear glasses, contacts are a great alternative and all you can see is a barely noticeable light blue ring of the contact.

  3. It is unlikely that too much of games could have affected your vision. There is no medical evidence for this popular belief. But too much of close work will definitely lead to defective accomodation and eye strain, headaches etc.

The first thing for you to do is to get an ophthalmologist to thoroughly examine your eyes. Progressive diminution of vision can have a million causes, some of them very serious. Do not let your fear of glasses prevent a serious condition from being diagnosed.

It is very likely that you are developing the usual short-sightedness (myopia). Get an eye examination and wear glasses regularly to prevent your sight from deteriorating further. And when you're 18 and your vision has been stable for a  couple years, u can consider laser surgery.

U can wear contact lenses in the meanwhile, but do not wear them at a stretch longer than 6-7 hours. Long term contact lens wear has a lot of irreversible adverse effects on the eye ( see my other answers on this site- coloured contacts, "veins" in the eyes), so its best to avoid contacts.

Anyways, most young people have defective vision these days, so you will hardly be singled out (unlike how it was when i was a kid and started wearing glasses).Your eyes are precious, protect them.

In the meanwhile, you can follow a simple rule of "20s". While you are at your computer or reading or doing any close work, every 20 minutes look at a distant object atleast 20 metres away, for atleast 20 seconds (preferably a couple of minutes or more). This will relax the ciliary muscles in your eyes and prevent strain.

  4. please see an optican or else you will increase your power

you can do eye yoga like rolling your eye etc

  5. It's good that you stopped endless hours at the computer.  Our eyes are meant to be binocular, but endless hours of staring at the screen forces them to be monocular, and you gradually flexibility and focus in your eyes.

I had a job as a transcriber where I literally stared at a screen for about six hours a day.  I thought I was going blind.  Then I went to an optometrist who turned me on to a version of the Bates method.  I'd recommend you investigate that.

  6. You need to see a doctor and an optometrist. Your deteriorating eye sight could be a cause of many many health problems including serious problems. If you need glasses, you don't have to wear glasses, you could wear contacts and nobody will know.
