Detoxing the body?

I have heard of detoxing the body. I know that it is supposed to help you lose weight and feel better by removing harmful toxins from the body. Can anyone tell me what are other benefits. Any web sites would also be helpful. I am interested in doing it because I feel tired most of the time even after sleep. I was just wondering if this would help get some extra energy.

  1. All this 'cleansing' and 'detoxing' is so much rubbish.  (So is the "alkaline foods" nonsense!)   It has been invented for commercial purposes to SCAM money from people who have too little knowledge to know better. The body is quite capable of 'cleaning' itself without any sort of "detox" or "cleanse". All the websites that are telling you how good it is are also selling something, that should be a clue! Break away from all the bulls#!t, be sensible, and forget the cleansing/detoxing scam. There are NO benefits, and despite what some unfortunate uneducated people will tell you, NOTHING actually "detoxes" you. Nothing at all. It is a useless waste of money.

    PS. Stay far, FAR away from "colon irrigations". Even worse than the useless colon cleansers/detoxes, this nonsense is potentially dangerous.


  2. Detoxifying the body does exactly that...gets all the junk out that we've put in it over the years. You can also try to just eat more alkaline foods to get your body's ph level in balance. If you have symptoms of any kind, your ph level could be too acidic or too alkaline. There are test strips you put on your tongue to test your ph. Mine was acidic, so to balance it out, I am eating more alkaline foods. I also tried cupping which literally sucks toxins and stagnant blood to the surface of your skin where your body's lymphatic system can flush it out. And of course, drinking LOTS of water. I don't think the colon cleansing stuff is necessary unless you have problems in that arena. Check out this link for more info on alkaline and acidic foods:

One of the best methods of detox is a raw food diet.  Raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, fresh juices and filtered water are consumed.  You can eat as much as you want, and as your digestion improves (usually within 48 hours) so does your circulation, and as a result, your energy level increases.

  5. I've had times I was so sickly- and it wass toxins---

    but did you know that just drinking a heaping dose of milk of magnesia will help you dump most of it.

    Starving for days, and eating wierd mess...that's for the birds.

    If you can't get repeated colonic irrigations and go to a nutri-camp for weeks,

    you're not going to do much more than milk of magnesia does.

    Drink tons of water.
