Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh fined $30,000 – NFL News
The National Football League (NFL) has fined Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh $30,000 for kicking Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub.
NFL’s executive vice president Ray Anderson along with other members of the league watched and reviewed the game on Monday and announced that Suh will not get suspended.
On Wednesday, after reviewing the game again, they still were unable to determine whether the kick was intentional or not.
However, they announced about the fine charged on Suh because they thought it was malicious enough.
Schaub injured his groin muscle when Suh kicked him during a pass rush in first quarter of Thanksgiving game in Week 12. According to him, Suh is a dirty player and he will never want Suh to be his teammate.
In reply to this opinion of Schaub, Suh said:
"I guess the person that would make that decision would be the GM or the head coach of that team."
According to him, he is happy with where he is right now and he does not think that he is going to be a part of Texans in future.
Suh has already said that it was an un-intentional hit. He was also suspended last year for two games when he hit on arm of Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith during Thanksgiving game.
Talking to about his bad Thanksgiving experiences, he said:
"I think I'm always going to be punished in some form or fashion for last Thanksgiving. I mean, I've apologized for it, and I'm going to continue to apologize for it. It's something that happened, a mistake that I made.”
He added:
"I'm living up to it and continuing to move past it. Some people may not, some people will and some people will teeter-totter back and forth between it, depending on whatever the situation is or whatever may happen as we had this last incident on Thanksgiving."
Suh is in the roster for Week 13 game against Indianapolis Colts to be played on Sunday.
