Detroit Red Wings Players losing hope of season 2012-2013 Regular Season -NHL Lockout Update
Hockey has been dead officially for over two weeks throughout Canada and America, if talking on a major league level, but some players are still working hard and continuing to practice as if they Stanley Cup Finals were about to start tomorrow, but that
hope and motivation is diminishing as the time passes.
Players from all 30 teams are willing to testify to the fact that they are sick and tired of the work stoppage, which is forcing some to lose their minds and work extra hard for something that is not even certain, but they continue to work and hope for a
better day.
Some of those players that have been actively voicing their concerns ever since the deadlock began are members of the Detroit Red Wings squad. Some have left North America to continue playing abroad in Europe and in other parts of the world, while others
remain here and till work day in and out to keep themselves sharp and on target.
"No, not very optimistic," Red Wings veteran, Todd Bertuzzi said, according to Detroit News. "I see us losing a year. So, you just move on to different things."
"I'm pretty sure it's going to start slowing down," Bertuzzi added. "We were five-on-five, then three-on-three, you start to see a trend here. We'll see what happens, see if anybody starts talking and if anyone moves."
The lockout has a sense of frustration in itself, but seeing how the team owners reject each and every proposal made by the labour union and on top of that,  try and avoid each and every type of incident in which they should be taking charge just worsens
the situation even further.
"You keep hearing our proposal isn't good enough and it's back in our corner again to try to keep coming back," Bertuzzi said. "It's frustrating we're not playing.”
Players are angry, fans are angry and the National Hockey League (NHL) is definitely moving in a backwards direction instead of moving forwards, like it had been ever since the previous work stoppage of 2004-2005 came to an end.
At the moment, there is nothing clear to as what people might expect to happen in the upcoming days, but some hope is still there for the better.
