Detroit Tigers president and CEO GM Dave Dombrowski up for new challenges – MLB Special
A recent sports’ website report has tried to unveil Detroit Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski’s cool part of personality in which it is stated that the Tigers GM is the sixth-sexist general manager in Major League Baseball.
Many have already commented on this report that Dombrowski does possess some very attractive personality traits which makes him certainly one of the most prominent figures in the big league.
However, when reporters asked Dombrowski about this recent report, he smiled and spoke in a very light manner, "It must be a quiet (news) day! I am trying to trade up for a higher ranking now!"
Sports journalist David Brown wrote of Dombrowski, "The most dominant cleft chin in sports. And his salt and pepper hair even inspires that of Dayton Moore."
Along with this recent survey, the overall outcome which Dombrowski showed in the recent past Major League Baseball is quite impressive. His team, the Detroit Tigers improved with the time and unlike last season, they performed much better and did well on
offensive grounds.
Now since the offseason is in full swing where all the leading teams are signing big players, the Tigers are also unfolding their next season’s strategy. The Tigers have always played offensively but now according to their current GM and manager Jim Leyland,
they will be adding some more pitchers to improve team’s overall thrust in the next Major League Baseball season.
“We do have six starting pitchers at the major-league level that we feel comfortable with that are good big-league pitchers, We'll just see what happens here over the next time period,” Dombrowski said recently and explained about his potential new strategy
bringing some new players on the mound.
He added, “We're not going to do anything to just do something, but if we can rectify that situation in a good fashion, then that is something we would contemplate."
Some say that Tigers are certainly on a right path in this offseason and if potential change does come in the coming days, the entire Detroit 40-man roster will be feeling quite confident to play with more thrust.
