Detroit Tigers’ star pitcher Justin Verlander to visit auto dealership in 2012 – MLB News
The Detroit Tigers’ star pitcher Justin Verlander will be making a visit to an auto dealership in 2012 that is sponsored by Waldron dealership. This will be Verlander’s sixth consecutive visit to an auto dealership since 2006 where he can talk with his fans
and spend some quality time off the field.
Waldron’s dealership owner Jim Waldron Jr. also confirmed regarding Verlander arrival in next year’s occasion. He told the media that Verlander’s agent has told him via telephone as he is ready and will visit the auto dealership show.
Tigers’ star pitcher is one of the very few Major League Baseball players who have so much fan following across the United States of America. This year in June, people rushed to see Verlander at the 2011 auto dealership and the organisers are expecting the
same kind of enthusiasm among Verlander’s fans next year.
Verlander’s sponsor and Buick’s general manager Waldron Jr. was also very happy to explain his return visit. He said, “We’re really proud of the relationship with have with Justin and the high regard he has for us, He does his research, too, and if he didn’t
think we were a respectable business, he wouldn’t want to come back.”
The annual auto dealership especially Waldron dealership is an initiative towards partnership with professional athletes to do business with renowned auto dealership companies. The Buick GM Waldron Jr. is also trying to establish a long term partnership
with Justin Verlander who is a reputable world class athlete and can bring-in more customers to Buick.
Although, both Verlander and Waldron has made no such commitment regarding doing business together, but Buick GM is pretty optimistic and waiting for the Tigers’ management to announce the 2012 season schedule. Last June, Verlander’s agent assured some positive
outcome about his client’s interest to do business for mutual interest in the auto dealership sector but he also said that Verlander is waiting for the Tigers’ next season schedule before making any commitments.
Verlander, who certainly has made a name in pitching this past season, now stands very high among the top names in Major League Baseball. His tremendous pitching helped his team reach the American League Championship Series (ALCS) while overall he posted
a league-best 24-5 win-loss record. His sports-idol calibre is the main reason why Buick and other top notch companies are pursuing him to establish any kind of affiliation that will sell their brand more efficiently.
