i think you need to replace most feared with most average in that statement

who is afraid of polanco and granderson?? they are .300 hitters, both of who have less than 40 RBIs

ordonez and cabrera i can give you as feared, but guillen has 9 HRs and 50 RBIs, with a .280 average, and pitchers are supposed to be afraid of those average numbers??

They're up there, but as another poster has said already they have a mediocre pitching staff at best and that's what pulls this team down.  They're not the best offense though because I still think that the Rangers, Cubs, Brewers and Red Sox all have a better offense.

This is true, but back in December they should have got Hanley from the Marlins instead of Dontrelle. They have great pitchers in Verlander, Gallaraga, and Porcello. Now Porcello will pitch in September to get them into the playoffs, then they will win the World Series!!!

Let me complete the statement for you, "and one of the worst pitching staffs that include Galarraga, Verlander, Bonderman, Rogers, and Robertson".  When you put a good hitting team together with poor pitching you have a .500 team and that is what we have been seeing with the Tigers all season.
