the other day me and my dad wers sitting in our porch and this crackkead strart yelllin 4 no reason....so we said something back and he comes running 2 our house wantin to fight him and gurl they were thrwoing thing at ou window...and trying 2 hit us..they were on pills.detroit is TERRIBLE!

Anywhere you get into an argument with people that have less to lose then you, you are in a bad spot.  People should learn to mind there own business.  I am not sure if this is a Detroit problem or just a social problem.  How many times have you been asked for change in a city?  The best thing to do is deny and walk on.  You will find that a lot of people out there need attention for feel a sense of worth.  If you ignore them, you will not have as many problems.  The best thing to do in this case is call the cops and have them pick this guy up.

first off i really doubt that this person who posted this question lives anywhere near Detroit, or for that matter has even knows what a person on cocaine acts like. If your woundering why i think that is beacause in the begining they said she saw a crack head and later they said the person was on pills so that dosent make any sense. Detroit isnt all full of drug users, but its true that their are parts that arent the place you would take your date too, but their are places like that in every major city, even places like L.A. or NYC. For the person who said Outer Dr. and 5 Mile were tough that right next to Redford and Livonia not really bad neighborhoods. Yes im from the suburbs and i feel comfortable getting off the highway, i sometimes take Michigan Ave from 94 all the way to Washington and sometimes i find myself taking John R . As long as your not retarded and look for trouble and make fun of crack heads youll be fine

I never too Detroit, but I've been to Atlanta and I can get some ideas of how Detroit is like. I did not like Atlanta as all, a major shithole. I live in New Jersey which is also a major shithole. Can't wait to get out. I'm heading to Canada, **** the USA.

I'm black and I have to agree with the first repsonder. Any place with alot of black people is the worst.

I disagree with you, what about New Orleans, Miami (with it's drug lords and immigrants), Washington D.C., Columbus Ohio? Only to name a few places.

Also, this question is only based on opinion, not fact. I think it's sad you let one bad experience make you feel that way.

I live in the suburbs of Detroit and I cant wait to move out but I will say this Detroit is not the worst city.  There are plenty more cities that are a lot worse. The residential areas of Detroit are not safe because they have not been kept up, people in those areas hustle to make money.  I blame the government and the residents for not setting rules and having a higher standard of living.

I would like to ask all the people that said Detroit is not bad. Would they walk down 5 mile & Burt rd. or any streets around there after dark? I grew up In Detroit I'm now 46 and I now live in Fenton and my Husband,Daughter and I walk all over at 9 or 10 at night. I grew up on Outer dr.between 5 mile & 96 and we use to walk all over,BUT not now you couldn't. To many Subber's go down town and say oh there is nothing wrong with Detroit, but would they get of the freeway and drive around h**l NO.

I grew up on the streets of detroit,literally,and have many fond memory's of that,but yes i think detroit is a cesspool, so are many american cities,hmmm,try mexico city,if you want to see bad!,detroit was once a good place to make a living but its never been a good place to live

I live in Detroit and I love my city!!! Detroit is not the worst city. There are ignorant people all over the world. In this case you and your dad were just as ignorant as the crackhead for even responding.
