  1. Mental toughness is well, all in your mind.  You just have to build up your mind set to play like you do in pratice.  Say i know i can do this over and over again when you practice and when you play in matches that's what I do.

  2. Don't have any emotions during your match. None. If you miss a shot, start fixing your strings, or turn around and get ready for the next point without a thought. If you just hit a winner, turn around and get ready to do it again.

The thing is, if your getting mad over anything, and then becoming happy with your winners, you're emotions are going to be going crazy. You need to keep them in check.

This will take a lot of practice to get used to, and the only way I can think of is for you to play lots and lots of matches.

  3. You should read about Serena and Venus Williams.  These are two mentally tough competitors.  The only time people win is when they break these two mentally.

I don't know how to develop mental toughness but I recognize it when I see it and those two have it.

    Good luck.
