Device manager, yellow ? mark!?

what does this mean? and how do i fix it?

  1. It seems that the device drivers which has been installed on your machine are corrupted OR not installed properly. I would suggest you to re-install the respective frivers from the device driver disk (CD-ROM or Floppy)...

  2. Something wrong with it. Try going into its properties and "updating drivers" Hard to tell without knowing what device its flagging as some dont use drivers while others do. Should give you an error code if you look at the properties. On new builds theres a lot of those in the device manager until all the drivers get installed. Can also try uninstalling that device and rebooting. Can happen when you do something like a build with onboard video or audio and you use a video or sound card instead and dont disable that device in the device manager. Since you didn't disable it and didn't install the drivers for the onboard it will show up in the device manager like that. Simply disabling it in the bios with take it out of the device manager. Without knowing what device is actually flagged any answers would be speculation as to how to resolve the issue. A lot of the time you will get a "error 28 driver not installed"sometimes you wont.
