Device manager Yellow ? in network controller?

I have a dell deminsion 2400. I have a yellow question mark next to the network controller. I have the Driver CD. I think I have downloaded all the drivers relevant to the computer? What driver should be downloaded.

  2. Look for Broadcom 440x, that's the one on my 2400

  3. The Question mark means that it can not identify the device you've installed. Uninstall that device, install the drivers from the disc that came with the PC for the Broadcom drivers. Broadcom are in ALL Dell computers. Even servers....

    Contact Dell and they can remotely troubleshoot it. If you want remote help from me I can help out too.

    If all else fails... get that hardware warranties use and have Dell replace the motherboard.

  4. You need to download the ethernet/networking driver for you machine.  That's what the yellow is referring to.

  5. You need to download the "Network Driver" for your computer, for windows (XP) I'm assuming. You can use your driver disc or go to Dell.com/support  (if thats the link, i don't know). Re-Install the driver, or update the driver. Then restart.
