Dg 834g router

Question

hi please help.
i had my new network set up buy a local company some months and everthing worked fine. my system comprises of the above product and
a desktop machine (xp) laptop (vista) a print server and printer
now the problem is: the desktop shutdown early last week and hasnt started again since until tonight after i reinstalled xp now after losing everything including the network settings. i seem to have misplaced the network key/code is there any way i can retrieve this from the laptop on vista that is still configured to the network? as i am not very technically minded please be gentle with me if giving any instructions .
