Dhoni and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120 all praise for Australian bowlers - Cricket News Update
Indian captain http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 is not bothered by his formidable batting line up’s collapse against a callow Australian attack, in the Boxing Day Test at MCG, rather he praised Australia’s pace attack for its stupendous performance which helped them
win by 122 runs.
The star-studded Indian batting line up crumbled twice in the first Test of the four-match series played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to hand the hosts a 0-1 lead in the series with a 122-run defeat.
In the series opener, Indian bowlers did exceptionally well to restrict the Aussies to 240 runs in their second innings and got a target of 292 runs to achieve in two days. But the Indian batsmen failed to capitalize on the opportunity and faltered for a
paltry 169 in the final session of day four.
Asked if he was worried about his batting line-up, the calm and cool Ranchi skipper said, "Not really. They are very experienced batsmen. You have to give credit to Australia bowlers for the way they bowled. They kept a nagging line outside the off-stump
and that's why they got us."
The triumphant Aussie skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Dravid-c2229.
“...we have to give full credit to the bowlers,” said Clarke while talking to the media reporters after 122-run victory. “You always want to have plans against whatever team you play and we were able to execute the plans," he added further.
Clarke also praised the tail-enders and the veteran batsmen Rickey Ponting and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MEK-Hussey-c1942 for their match-winning half centuries.
The rookie http://www.senore.com/Cricket/PM-Siddle-c2197 for support.
“It is fantastic to win here at the MCG,” said Pattinson at the post match ceremony. “Victorian supporters are the best in the business. (Peter) Siddle is fantastic, he keeps everyone in the side going," he added further.
