Dhoni annoyed over umpires for Mankading decision- Cricket News Update

Indian skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750’s Commonwealth Bank series match against Sri
Lanka, on Feb 21, 2012.
Thirimanne was adjudged out after he backed up far enough to allow the Men in Blue spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Ashwin-c2228, to remove the bails at the non-strikers end.  Rather than making their own decision, the standing umpire, bizarrely, consulted with the stand
in-captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Sehwag-c2739.
The skipper, who missed the last match because of a ban, inquired the purpose of the rule if the decision makers cannot decide themselves.  "I feel that [unfair] is what it [the act of asking the captain] is," said Dhoni.
The 30-year old veteran, however, appreciated the choice made by Sehwag, who withdrew the appeal, claiming that it was justified as the batsman may not be fully aware of the new changes in the rule.
The World Cup winner skipper further said that a proper warning should be given to the batsman prior to any such dismissal - giving a clear cut opinion over a somewhat ambiguous ruling.
His other counterparts however, took a lighter take on the overall issue where http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DPMD-Jayawardene-c1397, the Lankan skipper, claimed that if he were to be a bowler, he wouldn’t have removed the bails because he wants the game to remain “nice and clean”.
In addition, the Australian captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978 also dislikes the rule and said, "It's a part of the game I don't like. I don't like the mankad rule at all. I don't think you should be able to mankad."
Dhoni further commented that the ruling for Mankad has been changed from last year in order to prevent the batsman from leaving the crease before the bowler delivers the ball.  Keeping this in mind, he argued that umpires should be strong enough to make
their own decisions if the mankad rule comes into play.
"It was important to appeal. The reason being it's in the law that the batsman can't go out. Often it is put on the opposition captain. For example, on Virender Sehwag. Saying, you know, it's wrong. If it's part of the rule, it's
not wrong. Of course to take the decision or not the decision is something different,” said the veteran skipper.
India will play its next match of the on-going series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Sydney – hoping to get back to winning ways.

England’s ace spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501 is confident that the Poms will not fall easy prey to Pakistan in the second T20I, scheduled to be played on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The English top notch believes that his side has what it takes to defeat the Men in Green in the remaining two games and take the trophy home. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013’s cricket team is still in high spirits despite losing the opening fixture by
eight runs claims Swann.
Referring to the beating that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 received at the hands of England in the ODI series, Swann said, “We've just beaten these guys 4-0 in the ODI series, so confidence is still sky high. The bowlers are bowling well, and the
fielders are taking catches - I don't see any reason why we can't win the next two.”
The off-spinner further said that English team will remain calm and will not make any hasty decisions, as some people think they will. He said, “We certainly won't do what a lot of people think we should and panic about it.”
Swann registered his best T20I bowling figures on Thursday, when he picked up three wickets for 13 runs. It was his magical bowling that troubled the Pakistani batsmen, who were scoring quite freely in the beginning.
However, the off-spinners efforts went in vain because his side came out second best. It was the toe crushing bowling from Pakistani pacer Umar “Gul-dozer” Gul that won the game for the Green Shirts.
English batsmen were unable to play the in-dipping yorkers from Gul, who was declared the man of the match for taking the wickets of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Samit-Patel-c2426.
Swann is positive that the story won’t be the same in second game. The off-spinner is positive that the English batsmen will cope with the threat posed by the Pakistani Gul-dozer.
He said, “He bowled very well, but in some of the one-dayers we really got after him. We know we can get after http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Umar-Gul-c94604. He bowled exceptionally well last night. But I'm sure, in the next couple of games, our batsmen will step
up to the plate and do that.”
