Dhoni credits Hilfenhaus and openers for victory over Daredevils – Cricket News Update

After restricting the star-studded Delhi Daredevils' batting line-up to a paltry 20 overs total of 114 for 5, the title holders chased it down quite comfortably with almost five overs and nine wickets to spare.
Speaking to the media reporters after a cakewalk against formidable Delhi Daredevils, the Ranchi boy said that Hilfenhaus’ three wickets in his opening three overs set the tone for a comprehensive win, before Vijay and Hussey finished, providing the hosts
with a solid platform for a successful chase sharing an opening stand of 75 runs in 10 overs.

"It was not swinging too much after the first couple of overs, so we needed to keep Hilfenhaus for the death overs. He has given us that extra spark. With Albie [Morkel] bowling well with him and openers doing well too, it augurs well for us," said Dhoni
at the post-match press conference.
"We needed to get a good start and play the new ball well. Also we needed to play shots off loose deliveries. We needed to play authentic cricket. Hussey and Vijay gave us a good start," the Chennai skipper added further.
Man of the Match, Hilfenhaus, said that they performed well as a unit and hoped to continue doing well in the remaining three games.
"Good to start well and put them under pressure. We did well as a group,” said the lanky Australian pacer, adding that he still needs to work on his bowling at the death.
The defending champions will next play an away game against KKR on Monday, May 14, 2012.
