with him.
Despite this rather early departure from the club, Di Matteo seems to be leaving the team in the best of spirits, as he has gone on to win a Champions League trophy with them, which is something that he will cherish for the rest of his life.

The manager had a good run in with Chelsea, since he made his move to the club. In his short spell with the London club, he went on to win the FA Cup and the Champions League trophy.
Surprisingly he is the only manager to have been able to help the team win the coveted European trophy, despite the team having appointed some rather brilliant managers in the past.
However, with Di Matteo now out of the picture, the team has gone on to appoint Rafa Benitez to manage the team till the end of the current season.
Based on this decision it is clear that the club is now focused on getting their Champions League run back on track, as they are hoping for the best with their newly appointed manager.
