Chelsea’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo feels that he doesn’t need to worry about his team’s participation in the Club World Cup, since the manager is of the opinion that the team has ample depth to deal with the competition.
The Blues went on to win the Champions League last season, and this win has seen them get enrolled in the Club World Cup. As a result, the team is now looking to play in the Champions League, the Club World Cup, the Premier League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup.
This schedule is bound to be rather troublesome for just about any team out there, but Di Matteo feels rather confident over the depth that his team has, and feels that they will be able to cope with the extra matches they need to play in December.
"It will certainly put a big strain on the team, because it is a trip to the other side of the world with different time zones while the Premier League is still playing on," the Blues manager said in a recent interview.
"We will have to deal with that. But we have got a big enough squad that I think we should be able to cope with it."
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Petr-Cech-c29837 also feels that the team won’t be phased by the completion, but in fact, they might be able to build on their form and confidence, should they end up picking up a favourable result in the competition.
"I am glad I will have the opportunity to go there. Obviously it will make our fixtures here a bit more complicated," said the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Czech-Republic-c2882 international.
"But that is the way it is. I would rather have a chance to go and play and have a better week."
The London club have already gone on to beat Manchester United in the Capital One Cup, with a team which they consider to be their back up squad.
Now most of the players in that team are the same as their first team, which makes it a whole lot more interesting to see just how Di Matteo is going to balance his team out at the turn of the year.
