I am going on a Mexican Riviera Cruise on the Royal Carribean for my honeymoon. During the trip (10/28- 11/4), will there be celebrations in this part of Mexico? I wasn't sure if perhaps it is celebrated more in other areas of Mexico.

  2. "Dia de Muertos" is celebrated everywhere in Mexico.

There are places where the celebration is more importat than others. If you go to rural areas or small cities or towns you will get more people involved in the celebrations. In these places it is also more personal, they will rmember their deceaced.

In large cities you will get more formal celebrations.

Famous laces fro Dia de muertos are Janitzio in Michacan or the southern states like Oaxaca, Chiapas, Quitana Roo, Yucatan, campeche and Tabasco.

  3. There is a celebration in Play del Carmen. There are  larger and more well known celebrations in other parts of Mexico.

    Hope this is helpful.
