Diaby has had his fair share of problems during his stay at the Emirates, with him having set out most of the last two seasons due to injuries.
Many had gone on to question Arsene Wenger and the reason behind him wanting to keep a hold of the Frenchman, given the fact that he is almost never fit.
However, with the player now being back to full fitness and running the show for Arsenal, just about every one of Diaby and Wenger’s critics have gone on to applaud the manager and the player.
The player has gone on to show that he can be very dominant in the midfield and even though he is filling in the hole left by Alex song, he claims he is nothing like him.
"In our teams, Yaya Toure and me have very similar roles," he told reporters.

"I am not like Alex Song. We have many players who can take his place like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mikel-Arteta-c25715, who likes to play deep. I want to get forward - that's me.”

"I have defensive duties as well so I need to have a good shape defensively and, as soon as we get the ball, go forward."
The player then went on to thank the manager and his team mates for the support that they displayed during his injuries, and hopes that he will be able to repay the faith that they showed in him.
"I have to thank the manager because I have had tremendous support and as a player it is really important to have that support," he said.

"Support from your team-mates as well - I have to say that during this period, they helped a lot.”
Diaby is already looking like a player who can make or break Arsenal’s season. Should he avoid getting injured, he could finally go down as being one of the first team players at the Emirates and being a regular member of the French national team.
