Diagonal Tiles in Kitchen - Timeless or Trendy?

I love them but do other people like them if I sell this house in a year or two? It would be 12 X 12 squares?

Timeless. That was one of the first things we noticed in a house when we were house hunting. It looks very classic.

Tiles on the diagonal make the room seem larger because they go off in either direction. It's timeless. I think the vertical pattern is rather boring. 18 x 18 might be a better size too.  When you talk to the tile people at the store, ask them.
