Diagram for new electrical wire for a dryer.?

the original wire did not have any colors on it however looking at the connector on the back of the dryer were I removed the original I see the the middle is white and I did put the black on the left of it and the red on the right of it with the green ground to it own s***w. Does it matter for the red and black because they are both hot wires.

  1. The red or black will work just fine as long as the go to the designated line posts. The white is the common and the green is the cabinet ground.


  2. Doesn't matter since they both are hot

  5. the blk and red wires should both have 120 volts to ground(green) and the white is your neutral , if your still un sure of your wiring a continuity test should solve this
