Dial method of fax?

im trying to set up a fax for the first time. one of the questions i need to answer is if the dial method of the fax machine is touch tone, pulse or behind pbx. i had no idea. how can i find out which one it is. iv looked through the manual and it does not mention it

  1. Touchtone is the setting you require.

    Its simply touch tone - this is also known as DTMF or tone. this means when it has to dial out it will send the tones like on your home phone, the pulse should work but its no longer used and many exchanges no longer have this service, the PABX, it when your at work and its on their exchange before it goes onto BT.
