Dial up connection help please!

The internet disconnects after a short time!(about 5 mins)

how can I fix it?

Make sure that your dialup modem is working properly. You should highly consider getting High Speed Internet, though. It is 10x faster than dialup internet.

There are a lot of things that can cause this. It has been a while since I worked with dial up. Go to modem properties and look for cellular protocol. Set it to on. This will allow a more robust connection.

Some people don't understand cable/dsl internet is not available in all areas.

You should probably contact your ISP tech support.

Complaint to your ISP,  they are doing it intentionally because they don't have enough lines  or just to save on connection time. That's why I gave up on them a year ago and get cable modem.

I don't know where you live, but there is a company that offers better dial up or DSL high speed.
