Diamond Dame favourite for Punchestown Festival Live On ATR Sky 415 Median Auction Maiden Stakes
Diamond Dame is tipped to prevail in the Punchestown Festival Live On ATR Sky 415 Median Auction Maiden Stakes at Wolverhampton in England on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. The winner of the class-6 event will be awarded a cash prize of £1,704.
A total of six runners will be seen in action over the 1 mile, 1 furlong and 103 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 16:30 GMT. The entries confirmed are as follows: Diamond Dame, Tenbridge, Green Mitas, Mr Fong, Hilali and Trulee Scrumptious.
Initially, a couple of more runners were scheduled to take part in the race, but their names have been withdrawn due to injury. One of those runners was Play Tiger, who could have brought up his maiden victory in the sport.
The three-year-old colt had made his debut in April, this year, but was unable to make an impression in his first ever outing. He finished at the bottom of the table, as there were some quality runners participating in that event.
On the other hand, Boonga Roogeta will also be unable to take part in the race. She has not participated in any race until now and this was her first chance to show her skills to everyone.
At the moment, the bookies have rated Diamond Dame as the favourite to win. Although she has not taken part in any race until now, she is expected to deliver a winning performance on her debut.
The punters might be a touch hesitant to place bets in favour of the three-year-old filly, as she lacks experience to compete at this level. However, her opponents are also relatively inexperienced and it will be hard to predict whether how they perform
in the race at Wolverhampton today.
Diamond Dame will be partnered by veteran jockey, Ryan Moore, who has won quite a few races at this level and has got a brilliant strike rate. He will be looking forward to another strong show today.
On the other hand, Mr Fong has got the experience of a couple of races, thus he might manage to bring up his maiden victory today. However, it will not be an easy task for him or any of the other runners to match Diamond Dame.
