Question:

Diamonds on my wedding band?

My engagement ring is half a karat, 5 diamonds in a row, quite plain but still pretty. We bought my wedding ring already, which is 3 diamonds that are the exact size of the middle 3 on the engagement ring, and are soldering them together. I know that I will get answers that we can do whatever we want, but I would like to know if this is really really different or if people have seen that before. I dont know if this is kind of odd, to have that much diamonds on the wedding ring. Also is it odd that my 3 middle diamonds on me engagement ring are very close in size. (the 2 end ones are a lot smaller.) Is it weird that my middle diamond isnt bigger than the others? Honesty please! :)

  1. it s a new thing im pretty sure.

but i still LOVE the idea.

thanks for helping me with mine!

  2. Of course it isn't weird.  It's different from what we consider to be the norm, at least in the US, but that just means the rings are that much more special to you.  No one else's opinion matters.

  3. A smooth, beautiful GOLD band. Is the ring that represents the endless and continuous love in a marriage.

    The rest is all hipe!

The rings of marriage have been called many things. But it seems to me that starting with women's opinion on men being afraid of commitment, followed by the women's preconceived notion that a man is controlling for wanting to spend "too" much time with the woman when he does commit. Then wanting a ring to impress instead of a ring of love and always wanting more, bigger, or different. Shows the tumbling of the strength a marriage could have had before it starts.

    And a couple of notes:

In MARRIAGE there is NO MINE and HIS it is OURS and that means the money too! I'm sick of both men and women arguing about spending "MY" money. Either become one or don't complain!

TWO: I can afford a great ring! I have bought my wife many gifts including diamonds! But our Wedding bands are simple and beautiful.

I just can't stand the .....wait....

Walk into your new life poor of heart and be filled with the riches of Love!

Peace Love and best of all your dreams come true!

  4. In my book, the couple wear matching plain gold bands, so I think that what you're doing is odd all the way.

  5. I KNOW YOU FREAKIN LOVE ME BABY!!!

come an get it litl boi.....

aaaah, enjoy the coke side of life...

  6. I think diamonds on the wedding band are awesome. If the size of the diamonds are similar to the E ring I think it'll just help them match. My brother has always thought that the wedding band should look special as it's the one that you're promising the rest of your life with.

  7. Diamonds can be any size and it's good there's something to correlate the two rings, such as diamond size.  There can never been too many or too big diamonds.

  8. My wedding band has five diamonds on it, and I've seen wedding bands with seven, nine, and even eternity bands used as wedding bands (where the diamonds go all the way around.)

As for the center diamond on your e-ring not being the biggest, it's not really the usual but sometimes the unique is the most attractive.  I've never seen one to know for sure, but it sounds pretty.

  9. I have a friend that has 5 huge diamonds going across both the engagement ring and wedding band.  They look very nice.  I have an engagement ring that is 2 small and 1 large diamond.  My wedding ring will have 5 diamonds going across.  I am using my grandmothers ring for sentimental reasons as she passed away last year.  I think it will look great.  I could go with something else, but really don't want to.  Do what YOU really want.  If you have reservations about it, try different things.  Make sure you are completely satisfied!

  10. i think it will look great.

they match in a way so it will look put together. not like you bought 2 totally different rings and stuck them together.

  11. It doesn't really matter...I wanted mine to match as much as possible, but I know one girl whose wedding band has her birthstone on it instead of diamonds.

  12. Actually, It is somewhat hard to visualize.  but to me, it sounds as if you are talking about a set that is similar to the ones that were popular 50 or 60 years ago.  My mother has a set with diamonds like you are describing, only the engagement ring has a bigger diamond and smaller ones on the side, the wedding band has several that are about the same size.  Actually, I am not even sure if the rings are the wedding band or the engagement ring.  I have always assumed they were because of the size of the stones.  They are soldered together, as well.  I think her rings are beautiful!  Your's are too, I am sure!
