Diana Luna falters at Mission Hills - World Ladies Championship

Diana Luna, who was happy with her performance in the first round of the World Ladies Championship, saw Chinese Shanshan Feng walk away with the title after a nerve-racking battle.
Diana Luna could not believe it when she saw her position on the leaderboard gradually deteriorate against Feng, as she had planned to keep her early lead intact in the final round.
She finished the tournament tied for 4th, as her final score was a 209.
Luna had managed to gain a lead in the first round at Mission Hills after she scored an impressive 6-under 66.
Moreover, the winner of the tournament, Feng, also proved her worth, sharing the early lead with the Italian star.
Luna’s best performance was seen in the first round, as she made calculated strokes on almost all the holes.
The weather condition was favourable for players, as modest winds whipped through the course, giving Luna enough room to do what she had planned to.
She faltered a little on the 3rd and 4th holes, missing out on a good opportunity to sore well.
Speaking of her dramatic defeat, Luna said that she did not expect to lose the match, but there were plenty of strokes that she should not have made.
She said that she kicked off the round with a clear strategy, but unfortunately she could not pick up her pace in the final rounds.
She regretted that she did not judge many of her shots, which caused a dip in her score on the leaderboard.
“I had two bogeys in the first two par fives, which was a little disappointing of course, because I made six on a par five without any funny shots,” she stated.
“A stupid six: I missed one very short putt on the first par five and then I made a very bad chip at the second so two very stupid bogeys, but then I holed a rescue the hole after, so that put me back in play,” Luna shared.
The Italian prodigy came off worse in the final two rounds, as she lost her momentum while confronting Feng.
She carded a modest 71 in the second round, but made too many lousy putts in the third and ended up scoring a 72.
