August 28, 2011 – Phoenix Mercury vs. Washington Mystics
Diana Taurasi racked up 21 points as Phoenix Mercury halted their two-game losing streak with an 86-79 win over Washington Mystics in front of 11,614 basketball fans at the Verizon Center. Mercury’s guard dished out seven assists
and grabbed four rebounds in more than 31 minutes and ended on a 6 for 14 effort from the field and 7 for 8 from free throw line.
June 25, 2011 – Phoenix Mercury vs. Chicago Sky
Taurasi spearheaded the Mercury to win their fourth consecutive game by defeating the Chicago Sky 86-78 on June 25 at the Allstate Arena, Rosemont.
Taurasi, the league's No. 3 scorer, dominated the offence with a team-high 23 points and put in an amazing performance to marshal Mercury over the hosts. She played for more than 31 minutes, grabbing four rebounds and dishing out
three assists. The two-time league MVP shot 8 for 15 from the floor, hitting 2 for 8 from downtown and 5 for 5 from the line.
August 30, 2011 – Phoenix Mercury vs. Tulsa Shock
On August 30 at the BOK Center, Taurasi recorded her ninth consecutive double-figure game in terms of points scored as Mercury snapped Tulsa Shocks two-game winning streak with an impressive 96-74 victory. Taurasi totalled 23 points,
including 12 of them in the second half of the game and grabbed four rebounds for her team.
Taurasi, who averaged 15.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in her collegiate career, ended on an 8 for 12 shooting from the field and 7 for 8 from the line.
July 20, 2011 – Phoenix Mercury vs. Minnesota Lynx
Although Mercury saw their six-game winning streak snapped with a 106-98 defeat against Minnesota Lynx at the US Airways Center, however Taurasi managed to finish with impressive numbers. The player punctuated a team-high 24 points
and dealt out six assists for Phoenix, who would go on to face the Lynx in the Western Conference Finals.
Taurasi, the two-time WNBA Champion, finished on 12 for 14 from free throw line and 2 for 7 from beyond the arc.
