Diana Taurasi tallied a game-high 24 points and grabbed three rebounds to aid the Phoenix Mercury in defeating the Los Angeles Sparks 93-77 on September 3, 2011 at the US Airways Center. Taurasi scored 15 of her points in the first
half and ended the game on a 9 for 17 shooting from the field, including 4 for 7 from three-point range.
August 16, 2011 - Phoenix Mercury vs. Seattle Storm
On August 16, Taurasi knocked down the ball out with 0.1 seconds left to secure Mercury’s 81-79 victory over Seattle Storm. The 29-year-old guard ended the night with 24 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals for Phoenix.
She was 7 for 21 from the field, including 2 for 6 from downtown and a brilliant 8 for 8 from free throw line.
Mercury trailed by 59-50 at the end of the third period, but Taurasi helped them chip away at the lead, and scored nine of her game-high 24 points in the last quarter.

her team set a franchise record with 42 made free throws in a game.
August 26, 2011 - Phoenix Mercury vs. Connecticut Sun
On August 26, the Mercury arrived at the Mohegan Sun Arena to face off against Connecticut Sun. Although Phoenix failed to put up an upright performance, however Taurasi played her role effectively. The player topped all scorers
with 26 points in Mercury’s hard-fought 95-92 defeat to Connecticut. Taurasi, the WNBA MVP for the 09 season, combined with Penny Taylor to score Phoenix's last 15 points. She finished on 10 for 22 shooting from the floor, hitting 4 for 9 from three-point
range.
August 9, 2011 - Phoenix Mercury vs. Minnesota Lynx
Taurasi racked up a team-high 26 points, including a key steal in the final 20 seconds, as Mercury snapped Minnesota Lynx' franchise best nine-game winning streak by 85-80 on August 9, 2011 at US Airways Center.
The veteran guard pulled down six rebounds and ended on 8 for 14 shooting from the field and 8 for 9 from free throw line.
