Question:

Diaper Recommendations for size 6?

My son is close to outgrowing the size 5 diapers. I know they make size 6 but so far I am only seeing Huggies and Pampers. We used Members Mark but I can't find size 6 for them. Also Members Mark was cheaper then name brands.

Thanks

  1. time to start potty training and buying trainers diapers if still needed

  2. Well, Pampers, Huggies, Luvs, and Wal-Mart all have size-6 diapers. There are also pull-on style diapers that go even larger such as Huggies Pull-Ups and Goodnights, Pampers Easy Ups and Underjams, and more. You may have to experiment with a few different brands to find which large-size diaper works best for your child.

I have seen most size-4 and size-5 diapers still fit many school-age children, too. Though these children are generally petite, the diapers performed fine. Size-5 should continue to work quite well for a while, unless your child is five or six years old or fifty pounds.

Anyway, I should note that as a P&G stock holder, I would of course encourage the use of Pampers or Luvs; but that said, you should frankly use whatever diaper best performs on your baby.

  3. hmmm im ot sure how your sizes work but i assume size six must be big would be here in australia anyways how about poty training him take him to the loo time he needs to grow up

  4. Luvs makes a size 6.  And they are definitely cheaper than Huggies and Pampers!  I have only seen them in some stores though.  But they are out there!  Good luck!  : )

  5. we use Wal-marts brand, Parents Choice. I actually prefer them over Luvs. sometimes you can find them in boxes too.

  6. i have a good friend whose 10 month old is in size 6's.  she's a chubbo, but the doc says she's healthy and her parents are feeding her appropriately.  some babies are just big.

when she outgrows her 6's, they will probably switch her to those "goodnight" type pullups that are for older kids who wet the bed.  make sure they are made for wetting, not for training.  the training ones don't absorb anything.

  7. Is your son old enough to be potty trained? There is a reason they stop making diapers after a certain size! Anyway, if he is not old enough to be trained, or he is really big, try adult diapers in a small size.

  8. I used Pampers Cruisers in a size 6 for my son.  You can buy them at Sam's in bulk which is what we did. My son was big for his age and was not ready to be potty trained by the time he was wearing a 6.  Pampers also makes a size 7 because kids are not tiny little things anymore.  Good luck in finding an economical solution!
