I have a 7 month old very "busy" child! Everytime I change his diaper he grabs his private and squirms! I know it's natural for boys etc...my question is how (besides obvious restraint!) can I get him NOT to grab it & maybe lay a bit stiller when I'm changing a poopie diaper!!!??

thanks in advance!

  1. Leave him be, its only natural for him to do this...

  2. Every little boy learns very early to love his pee-pee.  Just make sure to clean his hand after he grabs it.  I've had 3 children, and the only way I was able to get them to be still was to let them play with things I normally wouldn't let them play with, ie. a roll of toilet paper, hair rubberbands, a spatula.  It's amazing how easily kids can be entertained by kitchen utensils.

  3. give him a rattle to hold.even when boys grow into men they cant leave their willies alone lol.

  4. hey(:

whenever i babysit ive realized that i have to give the child

a little toy to keep him from distracting me. it goes wayy quicker.

but if that still doesnt work you can always hold his hands while

you wipe his bottom & them let them go when your fastening the

    diaper. :D

  5. give him a small toy to keep him occupied.

  6. I give my son a bottle so he is occupied drinking while I am changing him,

  7. For mine, I turn on a fan and hand him a hair brush.  He LOVES them and only gets to play with it when he is getting his diaper changed.  Works like a charm for our squirmy wormy!

  8. For my son I let him touch it when it's just a pee diaper, but when it's poopie I give him a special toy.  It's a toy that he only gets at diaper time.  Right now it's a plastic book that we put pictures of our family in.  That at least gives me enough time to get him clean.  I also wash his hands after a poopie just in case he got any on him.

  9. 1. Have everything ready diaper, wipes, powder, and etc.

    2. place the new diaper under him with the he old still on.

    3. Hand him a toy to play with.

    4. Remove the old diaper.

    5. Wipe clean

    6. Powder him down

    7. And close...

  10. Give him a toy to keep him occupied.

  11. Definitely give him a new toy. It is natural to do it, since he is a boy. But yes playful restraint is ok just don't let it become a routine, because he will keep trying to do it just to see if you will stop him. Changing poopie diapers for 7 month olds is never a easy task but keeping him occupied is the best idea. Hope this helps.
