How many diapers do you get in a size 4 Jumbo box of Pampers, Luvs, Huggies, etc? My daughter is using a size 5 in Parent's Choice. There's about 54 diapers in each box. I think the size 4 had a lot more than that, but I'm not sure. Size 4 in generic don't fit her. I want to go for the name brand in a smaller size (they are made bigger for some reason) in attempt to save money, but will this save me money in the long run?

  1. the bigger the size, the less diapers you will get in the box.

Im using size 6 right now, ther is 68 diapers in this box and i paid about 25 bucks. in the jumbo box, i believe there is 156 diapers, and its about 35 bucks. those are huggies.

I found a compairison site for different stores, and i found that in size 4 pampers, for 30 its about 14 bucks, and for a jump of 140 its about 40-44 dollars. hope that helps

  2. well it depends where you go.  if you go to somewhere like costco on their website they have listed a box of 200 huggies size 4 would be $39.99 so yes, that would actually save you money.

on amazon you can get jumbo boxes of pampers that would work out to save you a little money but actually it is about equal. (below is a box of 176 diapers for $42)

in general the bigger box you buy, the more money you will save,

babies r us has deals a lot of times and coupons as well for certain kinds of diapers.

(i just bought a box of size 3 pampers baby dry from babies r us and it was $37.99 but i had a coupon so i paid $33 for 204 diapers)

  3. I've never used generic diapers, so I really can't compare them to name brand. With my first born, I used Huggies Supreme Natural Fit, and loved them. With my second born, my sister convinced me to use Pampers, so I gave them a try and I absolutely HATED them. They fit horribly, and ALWAYS leaked! So, I ended up switching back to the Huggies Supremes. Huggies also makes another diaper called the Huggies Snug and Dry which comes with more diapers per size than the Huggies Supremes. I always buy my diapers in bulk (big box) More bang for your buck!. Another tip is to sign up at the Huggies website and they'll constantly send you coupons or check out Amazon, free shipping and no sales tax! I posted the links below. Hope this helps. I'm sorry I didn't give you much detail on price vs amount of diapers. I just buy them because they're a necessity!

  4. They put different amounts in the different sizes because the bigger diapers would make for enormous packages if they tried to put as many size 5s in a package as they do in a size 1.  Generics run smaller than name brands because that is part of why they are able to sell them more cheaply.

As far as the price comparisons I'm afraid you'll have to do that yourself as there are too many variables in brands, prices, etc.  Take a small calculator to the store and divide the price by the number of diapers in the bag.  Make sure you write down the answers so you don't forget the first by the time you get to the end.  Don't forget to take coupons into account and recheck the price per diaper whenever they go on sale.

  5. the larger the size diaper then less amount are in the box

always has great diaper sales.. we got my little sister over 300 diapers for less than $40

  6. next time you go to the store figure it out. divide the price by the amount of diapers. for example you get say 60 diapers for $20 they are .33 a piece.

  7. really i get parents choice size 5 and their are 80 diapers in a box for 13.88

i think there are 94 or about 104 diapers in size 4 pampers for 20.00 to 25.00
