Diarrhea and fever for 4 days. ?

Okay, so I had really bad diarrhea for 4 days straight and I was also getting fevers at night. As of now, my stomach still doesn't feel 100%, but it's better. My girlfriend had pretty much the same thing, only no fever, and it lasted about 2 1/2 days for her, then a 2 day hiatus, then it came back for like another day. I just wanna know if anyone could give any insight on what this is. My guess is some type of food poisoning or a stomach virus, I just wanted to know what others thought. Please don't tell me to go to the doctor, since it is going away on its own, and I would rather not spend the money. Thanks.

Oh man.. that sucks... Ya it could be some kind of stomach virus. take two tablets of pepto bismol pills. that's what I do when I have severe stomach pains or diarrhea.

IF IT IS GOING AWAY YOU DONT NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR,BUT MAKE SURE YOU DONT HAVE DAIRY,MEATS OR FRUITS UNTIL YOU ARE BETTER,AND HAVE LOTS OF GATORADE TO KEEP YOURSELF HYDRATED.IT SOUNDS LIKE STOMACH FLU. GOOD LUCK!
