That makes sense. If you're a crabby pain in the butt, people don't want to spend much time with you. Others seem to gravitate toward friendly people. But people who genuinely love--pay attention to what you say, understand and try to meet your needs, and take a genuine interest in your life--they are precious gems. If you want to be loved--or at least have people being friendly toward you--enjoy life, appreciate yourself, help people see the best in themselves, and show care and appreciation. You won't always be loved back because some people are just plain miserable, and some are in such dire straits (drug addicts for example) that they cannot love. If people can see good character traits in you--loyalty, affection, appreciation, compassion--they are likely to be drawn to you because you have something they need from another person or they desire to cultivate those traits. Some people are so huggable and lovable that you can't help but love them. I know some of these people, and it's so rewarding to spend time with them. Those are the kind of people who make your spirit soar even if you're in a good mood. They are a rare treasure indeed. :o)
