d**k's Sporting Goods club testing

im trying to decide between the taylormade burner, the cleveland hibore, and the slazenger driver and i was wondering: does it cost money to go to d**k's and use their virtual driving range to decide which club to get?

  1. I'm assuming you're interesting in purchasing one of these sticks from d**k's, right? If so, just ask an associate for assistance and s/he will let you swing away at no charge. Any retail estalishment with a hitting bay will allow this.

    True/funny story ... Ten years ago or so, I went into a Nevada Bob's to do some product testing. The nervous associate, who must have just finished his triple coffee break, hounded me like a commissioned sales guy that hadn't sold a thing in weeks. I'm 6'5" so he handed me this super-long 5-iron. I questioned the length and he started rattling off reasons why it was for me. Well, first swing ... CRACK! I hit about six inches behind the ball and splintered the graphite shaft at the hosel. The ball didn't even reach the net. He ran over to me and ripped the club out of my hands and told me to get out of the hitting bay. I didn't have to pay for the club, of course, but I never went back into the store.
